Congratulations to Undergraduate (UG) lab member, Mr. Jason Szafron, who is an NSF GRFP PhD awardee and has accepted a graduate position at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Mr. Szafron is recognized for his academic excellence through multiple awards throughout his undergraduate curriculum at Texas A&M. His contributions to UG research has resulted in an impressive list of accomplishments including: An author of three peer-reviewed manuscripts (First author on an accepted ASME Journal of Medical Devices; Co-author of a published paper in Biomedical Engineering Online; and Co-author on a second paper submitted to the ASME Journal of Medical Devices); Sole author of Smart Materials for Aneurysm Treatment in the 2013 edition of Explorations, the Texas A&M undergraduate journal; and Author of an undergraduate junior honors thesis, and Presenting author on three conference posters/presentations. The BDL wishes him well on this graduate endeavors!
